  • SH-60-030

Molded Inserts provide a strong threaded attachment point in soft or hard plastics. Ideal for applications:

    • In soft or hard plastics or composites
    • Where inserts can be installed during the molding process to achieve a stronger engagement with base material

  • CPB

    Prebulbed Slotted Body Series

The Sherex pre-bullbed rivet nut offers a large grip range for installation into single, variable or multiple thickness materials. Also known as cross nuts, this particular rivet nut offers a higher grip range is because the increased surface area, which disperses the tension providing increased pull out resistance and won't distort thinner, softer material.

Grip range can be affected by parent material and hole size. Sherex recommends trial installations to determine the proper grip range for the application. Contact Sherex for details. The prebulbed rivet nuts can be installed with spin spin tooling.

Finish: Zinc Plated-Yellow Trivalent Chromate SFS-01-001, SC2. **Special finish or material available upon request!**

Sherex rivet nuts are compatible with the following hardware: GRADE 2, GRADE 5, CLASS 8.8, and CLASS 9.8
Please contact Sherex when using other grade fasteners.

  • CPN

Straight Shank Slotted Body Rivet Nut Series

Sherex's straight shank, slotted body rivet nuts have increased grip ranges over other Sherex rivet nuts, and are best used in softer materials and thing material like plastic, aluminum, and composite. The difference between the prebulbed slotted body CPB Series rivet nut and the straight shank CPN Series is it can fit into a smaller hole than the prebulbed CPB Series, as the bulb of the CPB Series has a wider body. The CPN is also recommended to be installed with spin-pull tooling, while prebulbed can be used with spin-spin tooling. Both slotted body rivet nuts offer a wide grip range with its cross-nut fastening solution, and both provide superior pull-out resistance against other fasteners.

Grip range can be affected by parent material and hole size. Sherex recommends trial installations to determine the proper grip range for the application. Contact Sherex for details.

Can be installed with spin-pull tooling. See Sherex's spin-pull tooling offerings for more details.

Finish: Zinc Plated-Yellow Trivalent Chromate SFS-01-001, SC2. **Special finish or material available upon request!**

Sherex rivet nuts are compatible with the following hardware:GRADE 2, GRADE 5, CLASS 8.8, and CLASS 9.8

  • comp-limiter-group

Compression Limiters are used in conjunction with fasteners to prevent overstressing of the base material and clamp loss of the fastened joint

    Ideal for applications:

    • In soft or hard plastics or composites
    • Where preventing clamp loss is critical
    • Where protecting base material from overstressing is critical

  • riveting-nuts

Riveting Nuts require access to both sides of the base material, and allow threads to be contained fully within the thickness of the base material. When installed, they provide little to no protrusion off of the base material.

    Ideal for applications:

    • Requiring superior strength characteristics in post-mold installations
    • With thicker sheet plastics and compositions
